Providers Can Become Certified In The P.A.T. Method
P.A.T. Method is broken down into four separate courses that have been approved for continuing education credit for physical therapists, Chiropractors, athletic trainers, and massage therapists.
Each course is designed to help each attendee expand their service offering to current and future patients, while improving treatment ergonomics versus alternative soft tissue courses.
P.A.T. Method Courses
Like all PAT Method courses, the lower extremity course is designed for both the patient and provider.
For the provider, PAT Method lower extremity is designed to teach a wider variety of contacts (thumb, finders and elbow) than other treatment methods. In addition to having different contacts to choose from, PAT Method allows the provider to better palpate a patient’s tissue, increase treatment depth with less effort and lastly, allows the provider to better control a patient’s movement through their range of motion. By controlling this motion, the provider can greatly improve patient flexibility in a single appointment.
For the patient, PAT Method lower extremity helps address issues like pain/discomfort and stiffness. Each PAT Method appointment consists of a palpitory portion where the provider checks both the painful tissue and all possibly associated tissue that may be contributing to the pain. Once all dysfunctional tissues have been identified by the provider, the patient lays comfortably and in a passive manner is moved through a wide variety of motions.
By addressing provider ergonomics and patient needs for relief, PAT Method is truly a win/win.
The PAT Method lower extremity course addresses patient issues from the toes all the way to the lumbar spine. By the completion of the course, providers should take away a comprehensive knowledge of PAT Method’s contacts, patient injury mechanisms and how to address virtually all pain and reduced range of motion dysfunctions.
PAT Method lower extremity is broken down into three course offerings.
Offering #1: Live and In-person
For our live and in-person seminars, a PAT Method provider will come to your facility at a day/time that works best for you. For our live and in-person seminars, we will provide 3 hours of pre coursework for providers to study followed by 13 hours of in-person instruction. Depending on the availability of our instructors, courses can be offered over a 2-5 day period, whichever is easiest for you and your fellow providers.
Offering #2: Live and Virtual
For our live and virtual courses, a PAT Method provider will host a live and interactive seminar over Zoom. These courses are intended to accommodate students who do not have the time/ability to attend a live and in-person course. Similar to the live and in-person seminar, the live and virtual course will provide 3 hours of pre coursework to providers followed by 13 hours of live instruction. Currently, live and virtual courses are offered on a monthly basis but if you would like to arrange a different set of dates and times specifically for your practice, please reach out and we would be more than happy to accommodate.
For our view on your own time seminar, PAT Method provides instruction that can be viewed anywhere at any time. These seminars are meant to provide flexibility for providers who don’t have the flexibility in their schedules to attend live seminars. Our view on your own time seminars can be taken over a multiple day/week/month time period as long as the provider taking the course views the full 16 hours of instruction and properly answers all of the end of section questions.
